The Me-262 was the first combat jet in the history of aviation. The first flight with piston engines took place in 1941, and with turbojet engines on July 18, 1942.

I'm going to have a go at building this Me 262:-. Photographed after the German surrender in the hands of the RAF. The Hobbyboss kit has the right decals for this aircraft, but their painting guide bears little resemblance to the photos. So I'm going with the Airfix guide, which appears to be much better researched. Sprue shots plus PE seat belts.
