It's always a vote if you're apart of the faction, and if you have good relations and are strong enough you'll be in the running. If it's AI faction, it'll go to first born son if not the daughter, if no children, it'll go to RNG who the next leader is. im always in the vote when the old faction-king dies

My poor little sister Alda is not ready for war, at least not in a battle I cant order her to stay back in. I sure as hell don't trust the AI to control her. Is there no way to tell her to leave the party without having her form her own party (I can't because I already have max party limit) or setting her as a governor(I hold no fiefs so far since Vlandia is getting rekt.) Surely she should be In SP you can follow another troop by using right/left click. I don't think you can actually play as that troop though. In sp you can not switch characters you play only for one I think you can do it only in custom battles never try it so don't know. This mod I made switches to an ally after you die

Same here, the patch seems to have made formation setting an in-battle thing with the assigning of captains and sliders to control how many units to be in a certain formation. I noped the fuck out after seeing I can't assign units. Taleworlds if you're listening, this is great for the AI and terrible as a game mechanic.
4 is the limit. Your spouse doesn't care about limit it seems. well that sucks, but on the other note it would be overpower as heck. upd spouse DOES count to party limit! I wanted to change the party leader of one of my parties so i disbanded old one but i could not create a new one, it say 4/4 and thats it is the limit I place my recruits into skirmishers more often than not. Just click on the control group "roman number" and choose a different one. I doubt that there are custom control groups but you dont need really need them. There are enough of them. 1. theBrD1.
